Winter Storage

Winter Storage runs October through March

Your vessel is stored in our boatyard during winter months, where you can either relax knowing your boat is high and dry, or finish that big project you just never seem to have time for when you haul for regular maintenance. Many people who leave town over the winter months enjoy Winter Storage as a safe way to keep their boats while they’re gone. There are also service providers who can assist you to maintain or work on your boat while it is here.

If you are interested in our Winter Storage, fill out the application below or print and submit a paper application (optional). A $50 non-refundable application fee is due upon time of scheduling. Availability is on a first-come-first-served basis, so we recommend you schedule soon.

The application process for Winter Storage opens up on August 1st.

A $50 non-refundable application fee is due at time of scheduling your haul-out; the application is not complete until this fee is received and processed. Applications will not be accepted until August 1, 2024.

1. I understand that Winter Storage is only available to those who have turned in an application & paid the application fee. I also understand that Winter Storage is not guaranteed and is based on space availability in the boatyard. If I fail to have the Winter Storage application turned in and fee paid prior to scheduling a haul-out I may lose my space for Winter Storage.
2. I understand that all Service Agreements, Best Management Practices and Winter Storage Contracts must be signed, and necessary proof of insurance and ownership provided prior to haul-out. All fees must be paid at time of haul, or I may lose my space for Winter Storage.
3. I understand that I will be paying for a minimum 3 months of Storage, whether or not my vessel is in the boatyard during the entire term of the signed storage contract.
4. I understand that if I change my mailing address and/or phone number(s), I will notify the Boatworks office in writing at 650 Marine Drive NE, Olympia, WA 98501; Boatworks office personnel are not obligated to locate my new address or telephone number(s).
5. I am the legal registered owner of said vessel to be stored at Swantown Boatworks, and will have proper legal documentation of ownership (title, registration or documentation) at the time of contract signing.
6. I understand that prior to haul out, I am required to have the Port of Olympia named as additional insured on the vessel’s insurance, and will maintain during the storage term, liability insurance with limits no less than $300,000.
7. I understand and am willing to comply with all Swantown Boatworks Rules & Regulations and Best Management Practices while my vessel is being stored in the boatyard.
