The Port sponsors a Kids Don’t Float life jacket loaner program and provides tours of Port facilities. Kids boating programs are available at Swantown through both the Olympia Area Rowers Association and the City of Olympia.

Not at this time. The Marina has set aside an area at NorthPoint that could be used for a small sailboat center. The Port remains interested in receiving proposals on operating and funding such a facility.

There are three restaurants available on Port property within a five minute walk of the Marina. As part of the Marina expansion, a site will be available for a restaurant at Swantown.

All operating costs for Swantown Marina & Boatworks are covered by profits from their operations, with no tax money used. The Marina annually analyzes local and regional rates for marine services and sets fees to place them in the middle to high end of the local market.
